Drifting with the Sea: A Meditation on Light, Love, and Letting Go
Dear sea, skies, and ombres of light,
Shine a little brighter — for you made me.
Through the fears of my complexities,
I follow the signs of the sea,
That bring me close, so we can simply be.
To our love of the coast,
To the scent of the air,
Take me back — for the season is there.
Hold me close, as she says, I’m holding space for thee.
To the ten gifts you’ve offered,
Like quiet sheep set free —
I can’t be more thankful,
Yet still, take me down with thee.
To the calming of nerves,
The thud of the heart,
The shadows of fear,
The sorrow of soul —
Take me along,
Let’s sink, let’s snorkel,
Let’s drift down with thee.
